At UF, there’s this thing called a taste panel. It’s run by the College of Food Science and Human Nutrition aka my major (for now). I was introduced to this last year when I took a class called called Man’s Food, and one of the requirements was to go to the taste panel. If you go, you get free things (like a coupon for the restaurants on campus or something). You can stop by anytime you see the sign “Taste Panel Today!” The first time I went I had guava juice, second time was fried fish, and this time was strawberry kiwi juice. I had two samples—I said the first one had a weird aftertaste, and the other was sweeter with more strawberry flavor. I had an opportunity to work here, but I was hesitant about turning in the app because I have another job.. but yeah, that was my morning. I plan on going more often. :)
By the way, the cracker and water is used to clean out your mouth between each sample!
